South Jersey bathroom planning

Grab Bars, Shower Chairs and Transfer Support

Support should be planned around approach, entry, lowering, turning, standing, exiting, and caregiver position. A towel bar is not a grab bar, and a beautiful seat is not useful if its height, depth, stability, or reach is wrong.

Bars

Choose vertical, horizontal, or angled placement based on actual movement. Verify backing, fasteners, product rating, wet grip, reach, and clear hand space.

Fixed and fold-down seats

Plan wall support, seat height and depth, load rating, drainage, controls, legs where used, and space for transfer or care.

Removable chairs and benches

Confirm leg stability, surface, user size, transfer side, storage, movement, cleaning, and how the item works with doors or curtains.

No universal placement: Future-proof walls with documented backing, but place final devices for the intended user and product instructions.
